Tsurezure Children (徒然チルドレン) is a heartwarming anime series of short episodes (each about 12 minutes long) about teenagers (high school students) dealing with that feeling of love. There are many characters and each episode jumps from couple to couple so it can be a bit confusing at times, especially since the focus is only on a particular event/occasion in the lives of each couple.
Still, it is a gem, because I think it is able to capture that warm and fuzzy feeling we have when we first fall in love. About wanting to let someone know our feelings, yet afraid of rejection, yet wanting to move forward, yet fearful of what the future holds. That internal struggle with emotions as we try to deal with our feelings for that special someone while being sensitive to what others may think about us.
It is all part of the growing up process, and while this series may seem to jump from place to place, couple to couple, I guess it only shows that myriad feelings and situations that growing up can bring. Which makes it all the more heartwarming as it is sure to resonate with all of us. We were all young once, and it is nice to remember those feelings we once had.
