With Vivi, it is easy to get around the neighbourhood, so I thought I would visit a few nearby shrines.
The first stop was Goreisha (五霊社).
There is a monument commemorating local residents who died during World War Two.
Next was the nearby Hachiman Shrine, but I got a bit lost and found this instead.
Finally, I got to Hachiman Shrine (八幡神社). Or rather, the torii that leads to it.
The shrine itself is up a flight of stairs in a bamboo forest.
Finally, I found the shrine.
I paid my respects at both shrines, asking the gods to watch over me. Then, I made my way back in the blazing sun...
