
Can you believe it? The first day of
Chinese New Year, and there is a
solar eclipse! Of course, we now know that solar eclipses are natural phenomenon caused by the positions of the sun, moon and earth. But back in the ancient days, a solar eclipse on the first day of the new year would probably be such an bad omen as to ask for a change of emperor.
And just when you think that is all... there is going to be a
lunar eclipse on the 15th day of the Chinese New Year. Such a thing occur a thousand years ago, and we would be looking at a change in dynasty...
